The Sherman County Community Foundation strives to increase its presence in Sherman County by participating in community celebrations and hosting several of its own events.
Our donors fuel the engine of the Foundation. With their support, we can fund improvements throughout Sherman County. Events and fundraising help keep our donors engaged.
THE GOOD LIFE GALA
A night of charitable excitement that includes cocktails, a plated dinner, live music, entertainment, and silent and live auctions.

Poinsettia Palooza
In October, hundreds of red, pink, white, and speckled poinsettias are sold during the Foundation’s Poinsettia Palooza fundraiser. About a fourth of the festive holiday flowers are bought and gifted to residents of the Rose Lane Nursing Home in Loup City.
Scholarship Honorship
Scholarship donors are honored and brought together with their student recipients for an evening of appreciation and congratulations.
Holiday Tour of Homes
Half a dozen homes festively decked out for Christmas are toured in Sherman County as an occasional early December fundraiser hosted by the Foundation.
Community Fun-raisers
Sherman County residents often recognize the Foundation as a participant in community celebrations throughout the summer, whether by entering a float in the parade, handing out fans or candy, or hosting youth games.
